April 11 - 14th, 2024

Featuring: Jane Bustin, Squeak Carnwath, T.J. Dedeaux-Norris, Sydney G. James, Azita Moradkhani, Michael Rakowitz, and Aiko Tezuka

Jane Lombard Gallery returns to EXPO CHICAGO with a presentation of new and recent works by Jane Bustin (b. 1964, London), Squeak Carnwath (b. 1947, Pennsylvania), T.J. Dedeaux-Norris (b. 1979, Guam), Sydney G. James (b. 1979, Detroit), Azita Moradkhani (b. 1985, Iran), Michael Rakowitz (b. 1973, New York), and Aiko Tezuka (b. 1976, Japan). The presented works span painting, drawing, textile, and sculpture, touching on themes from materiality and corporeality to identity and geopolitical history. Collectively, the works inspire conversations that challenge conventional narratives of history, community, and artistic process.

In addition to our booth presentation, Michael Rakowitz is included in the fair’s IN/SITU program, featuring The Breakup (2022) and culinary intervention A house with a date palm will never starve (2019/2024).

Rakowitz is also included in a public program at Gene Siskel Film Center, “Art 21 Presents Michael Rakowitz in Conversation,” on Saturday, April 13th from 1 - 2 PM.
