Arrival Art Fair 2025

June 12 - 15, 2025
Jane Lombard Gallery is pleased to participate in the inaugural edition of Arrival Art Fair with a group presentation of works by Margarita Cabrera, James Clar, Sam Dienst, Emmet Duggan, Jan Rattia, and Bradley Wood. Drawing from both new and existing works, the presentation spans painting, drawing, textile, and sculpture to reflect on how we root ourselves in place, through history and identity.

Margarita Cabrera works with communities of recent migrants to embroider narratives of belonging, memory, and cultural continuity. Her life-sized soft sculptures of flora and fauna, indigenous to the land of her collaborators, become powerful symbols of resilience. James Clar challenges our perceptions of reality through his adaptation of technology. His onomatopoeic text-based neon playfully exclaims “Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!” probing the nature and interpretation of vision, language, and sound. Sam Dienst’s tapestries center the everyday, weaving together domestic rituals and transforming color and shapes into playful assemblages that function as vibrant self-portraits. Emmet Duggan’s paintings, arranged in a Warholian grid, place birds on top of midcentury modern furniture, offering a tongue-in-cheek meditation on conspicuous consumption and aesthetic desire. Jan Rattia’s pigment prints on vinyl portray bodies in fluid, floating states to reflect on belonging, representation, and otherness. Bradley Wood fuses together memories, dreams, and encounters into cinematic canvases, creating a voyeuristic peek into the uncomplicated lifestyles of quiet luxury. Collectively, these artists reflect on the human experience, speaking to our shared desire for connection, meaning, and beauty.
